Another Talent Straight out of NC: Who is Andy Higgins?

Another talent from Fayetteville, NC has caught my attention. Andy Higgins was recommended to me from a friend of mine. He said Andy Higgins was dope, and I was like "eh, we'll see". Everyone is claiming to be a rapper but after listening to Andy Higgins, I can put him under the label of a true HIP HOP ARTIST. I checked his music out and he is worth the listen. His latest mixtape, "Pyro Maniac (Prelude to Clouds of Smoke)", is a mixtape with plenty of lyricism for you to say to yourself "DAMN, THIS DUDE IS D.O.P.E." Andy Higgins does a remix to several hot beats including "6 foot 7 foot, Cabin Fever, and 600 Benz".

The mixtape that caught my ultimate attention is his "Blunts on a textbook mixtape". It showed his versatile style and lyrical genius. Originality is a very important factor for me when checking out an artist. Andy Higgins and his production team definitely had my damn jaw to the floor on "Blunts on a textbook mixtape". Coming out of Fayetteville, NC and making music like this is not common. Many people here in Fayetteville are into that "dope slanging", "got ya girl on my dick cause i like raveoli", "swag, swag, and oh I let's get high" type of lyrics. Truth!, is what is written and found in the music of Andy Higgins. My favorite song on the mixtape is "LA Girl". This is not just because I rep. Los Angeles (323), but because it's what a lot of women of this generation represents. It's definitely feel good, party song. (and I'm a chic so of course I would love this song) I can honestly say I'm looking forward to Andy Higgins spring release of "Blunts on a textbook mixtape vol. 2" so be on the lookout for that in mid March. I do believe hip-hop is not dead, but hidden. If you truly dig for it, you will find it. Believe me when I say, Andy Higgins is HIP-HOP.

Andy Higgins is an up and coming, unsigned hip-hop artist from Fayetteville, NC. Andy's music is a direct reflection of his inner emotions. His music style is developed from a wide range of genres such as classic rock, alternative rock, alternative rap/hip-hop, funk, and pop. Andy's music is unlike anything out now, he brings such raw emotion and outrageous amounts of energy to every piece of work he gets his hands on. Andy has put out three mix tapes thus far: The Collision Course, Blunts On A Textbook, and The PyroManiac (in chronological order). Each mix tape shows a different side of Andy and with a great variety of songs it would be hard not to capture any listener's ear. Andy's lyrics are thought provoking and metaphorically he is on the upper end of the scale. His fan base consists of people throughout the US and even extending into other countries like the UK and Canada. Andy's main goal is to get his music to reach as many as possible.
